Our Thanksgiving Feast ~ 2009

This month the children learned about the pilgrims coming to America(The New World). They learned that they sailed on a ship called the Mayflower.The Mayflower was not big and the pilgrims couldn't take much with them.They packed very few things.They sailed for many weeks.In America they were soon greeted by Native Americans.The Pilgrims began to build houses.They learned how to plant indian corn and other crops.The Pilgrims and Indians had a Feast to celebrate their harvest.They were able to pray and Give Thanks to God for their blessings in America.
